Short Biography

Cheng Zhang (Michael) received his Bachelor and Master’s degree in Control Science and Technology from the School of Astronautics at Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) in 2010 and 2012 respectively. He has gained experience in data acquisition system design based on virtual instruments and embedded system hardware and software design during his study at HIT. His master’s thesis is titled “research on the control algorithms of large-angle manoeuvre of small wheel-controlled satellite”.

Cheng Zhang joined the Energy, Power and Intelligent Control cluster at Queen’s University Belfast in September 2012. His PhD study is supported by the Chinese Scholarship Council and by the award of UK-China Science Bridge bursary from QUB.
