Smart Grid and Integrated Energy System

Title: Smart Grid and Integrated Energy System

Speaker: Dr Hongjie Jia

Venue: Room 7.005
Time and Date: 10:00am, Monday, 14th Sept 2015

Abstract:

Smart grid and integrated energy system (IES) are helpful to increase the penetration of renewable energy, to reduce the greenhouse gas emission and to increase the energy efficiency. Much more attention has been paid to this area in China recently. This enables significant flexibility in terms of how electricity, gas, transportation and other systems. are integrated and coordinated. This talk will give an introduction to the following topics at Tianjin University: 1) challenges and opportunities in the area of energy in China; 2) power system stability analysis based on PMU data; 3) simulation and analysis of integrated energy system; 4) EV aggregation and integration into smart grid.
